Project Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The monumental cemetery of Santa Maria all’Antella was born as a graveyard of the homonymous parish of Antella, a locality located just outside Florence in the municipality of Bagno a Ripoli, around the middle of the 19th century. The need to reduce the cemetery electricity cost has gain to the construction of a photovoltaic power generation plant of about 175 kW.
The plant was mounted on the roof of a building built between 1975 and 1985 as an extension of the original nucleus of the cemetery, in an area with landscape constraints. The electrical energy is conveyed to the technical room built at the same time on the parking area of the cemetery; it is measured, transformed and fed directly into the ENEL network, in correspondence with the new ENEL MT/BT transformation cabin.
